Registration with the SAPC as a pharmacist. Current proof of SAPC payment. Good Communication skills. Sound knowledge of computer skills. A valid Driver’s license. Knowledge of public service experience and distribution pharmaceutical service will be an added advantage.
Responsible for the registration of the premises with SAPC. Registered as the responsible pharmacist of the facility. Daily duties as part of the extended West Rand Regional Pharmacy for Merafong Sub District. Supervisory visit of the facilities in the Sub-district. Furnishing of information and advice to any person with regards to the use of medicines. Comply with standard operating procedures and statutory regulations (GPP, and PFMA incl. cost containment measures). Drug Supply Management in the Sub-district. Ensure thermo-labile products are stored, handle and distributed according manufacture’s recommendations. Consulting to other stakeholders to ensure compliance od standard treatment guidelines and EML Providing training promoting the rational medicines use principles, monitoring availability of essential medicines with the sub-district. Direct and indirect supervision of the pharmacist assistants with the sub-district. Conduct cyclic and bi-annual stock count. Ensure safekeeping and security of the stock preventing losses, theft and expiring of medications. Comply with the six quality priorities and Batho Pele principles. Monitor the national programmes within the sub-district like Ideal Clinic, SVS and CCMDD. Participating in the Sub-district meetings and lead the pharmaceutical research in the sub-district."
