Grade 12. Registration with HPCSA. One (1) year Diploma or equivalent qualification as an Electro Encephalographic Assistant/ EEG Technician. Must be computer literate. Must be a people’s person who is highly interested in dealing with patients in a professional manner at all times. Good communication skills. Understanding of the relevant Acts/ prescripts and legislations required for optimum performance as a health worker. Demonstrate ability to apply Batho-pele principles at all times.
Providing EEG services and related procedures to the patients at Tara hospital(Psychiatric Facility). Provide leadership for the unit as well as develop and maintain systems and processes for the smooth running of the unit and relevant equipment. Contribute to the training of other care workers when necessary. Assess equipment and consumables. Carry out all necessary administrative functions in the unit. Manage appropriate filing system and statistics of EEG’s done. Communicate with the various stakeholders to ensure smooth running of the services. Ability to perform EEG’s on both adult and paediatric population.
